On May 9th, some of the area churches participated in a prayer service for peace in a world of violence.  The participating churches in Sanilac County were Trinity Episcopal Church in Lexington, Forester United Methodist Church, St. Mary Catholic Church, and  United Methodist Church of Port Sanilac. Also present was Christ The King Anglican Church of Lexington.  It was stated that every 24 1/2 minutes, a child dies of hunger in our world.  This prayer service was to make us aware that violence can be a direct result in hunger around the world.  May peace begin with us!
